about

My artwork revolves around two main graphic languages: Oriental inspired calligraphy, and abstract geometric patterns.

The calligraphy is invented, and invites the spectator to discover what might be said. It is a subconscious way of written communication, not by words that have a specific meaning, but by characters that express and are made by what was not said. It is the most innocent form of communication.

The geometric patterns are born due to a mental skill that I have: everywhere I am, I am always imagining lines, angles, dimensions, all on top of the visual and real world. And that is expressed on the canvas. I create organic random backgrounds, and on top of those, I draw lines, in a chaotic, compulsive way, every time I see one. I believe this represents the thoughts of a restless, busy mind. That is why on top of this confusion, appears a circle, that levitates above the chaos, and is the symbol for an open mind.

I have taken part in artistic residencies, national and international exhibitions, won two awards, and have experience of different artistic expressions, including installation and urban art.
